With a simultaneous premiere in 105 countries, the new movie of Roland Emmerich (Independence Day) had a surprising premiere on having collected 225 million dollars in his first three days, overcoming peacefully 200 announced millions of budget.

Of this big collection, 65 millions belong to the domestic box office, what was sufficient to remain with the first place without many problems and catastrophe turned into the second biggest movies premiere in the history.

In the second place we are with A Christmas Carol, which lost only 26 % of his box office to reach 22.3 million dollars. With this collection the movie overcame the barrier of 60 millions but still this one very far of 180 millions of his budget.

In the following positions only there are "small" movies, thinking that closing the podium we have The Men Who Stare at Goats, led by George Clooney, who added another 6.2 millions to reach a whole for 23.3 million dollars.

In spite of the surprising premiere of 2012, the entire collection of the 10 most important movies only reached 125 million dollars, 7 % less than the obtained in the same weekend of last year.

The new movie of the director Roland Emmerich tries to overcome to all his previous destruction bacchanals (Godzilla, Day of The Independence, The Day After Tomorrow) turning to the world in a gigantic tests field for all kinds of contrary to nature disasters.

Nevertheless the only thing that results from this movie there is a collage of scenes generated by computer which turn out to be so unreal, ridiculous and dumb that the brain fights to be disconnected as soon as possible to avoid to keep on tolerating this torture.

The Mayan predictions have been an object of enormous discussions and although there are the supposed inspiration of the movie receive only a few minutes of attention along with other pseudo-scientific explanations. The history is nonexistent since the explanations given for the destruction of the planet are minimal and the coherence disappears quickly to give place to still. I recommend to them to move away from this movie and to invest his money in a history that it does not assume that they are so stupid as to tolerate this deplorable wasting time.
